    March 2011 — AMI announces 2011 trade show schedule.  AMI will be exhibiting at the following events this year: 

    April 6-7, 2011 – Electronics New England , Boston, MA.  Booth 245.  

    April 13-14, 2011 – Design 2 Part, Phoenixville, PA. Greater Philadelphia Expo Center. Booth 427.

    June 7-9, 2011 – Atlantic Design & Manufacturing Show, New York, NY. Javits Convention Center.  Booth 132. 

    February 2011 — Digitry Company selects AMI to manufacture new product line:  Portland, Maine based Digitry Company, who designs and distributes electronic temperature controllers for kilns and ovens, is utilizing AMI’s Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and prototype manufacturing services for a new model controller currently in development.  Full production is expected by mid-year, highlighting AMI’s range of production services at both prototype and production volumes.

    January 2011 — AMI Employees Increase Commitments to United Way:  AMI employees increased their 2011 pledges to United Way of Kennebec Valley by 38 per cent over their 2010 pledges. Given AMI’s matching program and with over 50 employees participating through payroll deduction, AMI is a local leader in the rate of employee participation and in total dollars contributed.

    December 2010 — Pixads Selects AMI to components for Pager Systems:  Pixads Media, an emerging player in the burgeoning industry that delivers advertising content to mobile devices, has selected AMI to build components for its pager systems. 

    November 2010 — 26,000 Shares Issued to AMI Employees:  AMI announced it has distributed 26,000 shares to employees who worked 1,000 hours or more in 2009.  Such distributions are an annual event under AMI’s federally sanctioned employee stock ownership program (ESOP).  AMI is 100 per cent owned by its employees.

    November 2010 — Tyco Selects AMI to Build Cable Assemblies:  Tyco International named AMI as its 2011 primary supplier for cable assemblies used with products designed and distributed by two of its fire and safety business units.  The agreement covers more than 50 assemblies used with scores of products.

    October 2010 — AMI CEO Named to Board of State Chamber:  Kim Vandermeulen, AMI’s president and CEO, has been elected to serve a three year term on the board of directors of the Maine State Chamber of Commerce.  Earlier, Vandermeulen was honored as the 2008 business person of the year by the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce.

    October 2010 — AMI Chosen by SSI to Build PCB Assemblies for Navy Product:  Strategic Systems, Inc., an Alabama based supplier of military and industrial control systems, has selected AMI to build the PCB assemblies used in its newest training system for the U.S. Navy. 

    September 2010 – DSC Picks AMI for Materials Services:  DSC, a major Canada based supplier of security systems, has selected AMI as its primary supplier for an array of custom electronic materials, such as raw PCBs, metal enclosures, and heat sinks.  The agreement encompasses over 100 part numbers used to build a myriad of DSC products.

    August 2010 — AMI Selected to Build High Power LED Fixtures for AEC:  Advance Electronic Concepts has chosen AMI to build its flagship product, which is a high power LED lighting fixture installed in refrigeration units supplied to supermarket chains by leading case manufacturers.  Initial deployment will be in Hannaford grocery stores, which are located throughout the northeastern U.S.

    July 2010 — AMI CEO Reappointed to IPC’s EMS Council:  Kim Vandermeulen, AMI’s president and CEO, has been appointed to serve a second term on the IPC EMS Council, which represents the EMS industry to this international standards organization and provides advice and oversight for its EMS technical and business support programs.  Vandermeulen holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a doctorate in jurisprudence from the Northeastern University School of Law.

    May 2010 — Testvonics Chooses AMI to Build its ADC Servo Controller:  Testvonics, which is based in New Hampshire and counts the U.S. Air Force as a major customer, designs aviation data equipment used to calibrate altitude and airspeed meters installed in military and commercial aircraft.  In particular, AMI has been chosen to build the ADC Servo Controller Board, which is a principal subassembly in the Testvonics ADC-2500 Series Air Data Calibrator.

    April 2010 — GenaSun Picks AMI to Build PCB Assemblies for Solar Panel Controllers:  GenaSun, based in Boston’s technology corridor, designs and supplies solar powered products for applications where “wired” sources of electricity aren’t feasible.  One example is Anarctica’s polar ice cap where the Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology use GenaSun products to sense, monitor, and report on seismic movements deep under the earth’s crust.  The PCB assemblies built by AMI are used in a number of GenaSun products and applications.

    March 2010 — TUV America Recertifies AMI’s ISO Registration:  AMI announced that  TUV America has recertified AMI’s quality system  to the new ISO 9001:2008 standard.  The three year recertification is AMI’s fourth recertification since it obtained its original ISO certification in 1997.
