  • Pad Stamping

Pad stamping is a versatile and high quality color printing process that allows customized identification and branding of manufactured products, like enclosures and housings, covers, and fabricated parts, including those with irregularly shaped or textured services.

OEMs can use pad stamping to identify the same product with the brand names of multiple resellers – thereby increasing the size of their respective markets – or to customize identification of several products that use the same enclosure. In either circumstance, pad stamping can be among the last steps in the assembly process, thus eliminating the need for separate inventories of preprinted enclosures when the same underlying enclosure is used for either different products or different brands of the same product.

Pad stamping is especially appropriate for middle market customers, given their typically smaller volumes and more volatile demand patterns. However, since the vast majority of middle market suppliers are without pad stamping capability, their customers face an unhappy choice between the inferior look of stick-on labels or the substantially higher expense and capital investment of multiple pre-printed inventories of the same underlying enclosure or housing.

In contrast, AMI offers economical and high quality pad stamping service utilizing modern automated equipment and top grade inks featuring ten to twenty second drying and curing times. With production runs ranging in size from a handful to a few thousand, AMI prints approximately 50,000 enclosures annually.

AMI is the right size and the best choice for the EMS middle market.
