AMI is now increasing it’s sponsorship of the prestigious MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition. This student-run competition annually has hundreds of teams apply with pitches for new start-up businesses. Each year multiple teams will receive cash awards for their winning business plans with the Grand Prize winner taking home a $100,000 grant toward launching their business.
AMI’s sponsorship includes offering prototype assemble services to teams developing electronic products. According to Scot Story, AMI’s VP of Sales & Marketing, “AMI and MIT$100K are a great fit for one another. With AMI’s Electronic Prototyping Center in Somerville having close proximity to MIT and our offering of manufacturing services being so well-suited for startup companies it makes it a win-win for both the competing teams and AMI. These teams represent some our country’s brightest minds and exciting new businesses. AMI is pleased to be a part of this program.”
